BIO Best known as the New York Post Page Six cartoonist from 1990 - 2013. An award-winning painter/illustrator whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, books, television and Broadway. Graduate of the New York Academy of Figurative Art. Co-wrote and illustrated SCUTTLE'S BIG WISH (HarperCollins/ Scholastic, 2006) with his son, Ryan, and the THE ONES THEY DIDN'T PRINT (Skyhorse Publishing, 2015). His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian - the Museum of American History, the Library of Congress, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Newseum, New York Historical Society Library and Museum, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum and the Cartoon Art Museum
His work has also appeared in a show at the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HEALTH AND MEDICINE and was included in a multimedia presentation that accompanied the exhibition “Edward Hopper and the American Imagination ” at the WHITNEY MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART.
His largest work is the triptych altar painting for the Church of St. Agnes in NYC.
His work is in the private collections of celebrities, politicians, and other public figures, including George H.W. Bush, James Baker, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Howard Stern, George Steinbrenner, Rush Limbaugh, John Cardinal O’Connor, Jackie Mason , etc.
